Forest Park volleyball ready for State Quarter final rematch with Pellston

The Lady Trojans volleyball team has been here before.Just a year ago, Forest Park faced Pellston in the Class D state quarterfinals and got bumped by the Hornets. The Trojans lost only a few seniors from last year and boost seven upperclassman this year including four seniors and super sophomore Lexi Gussert.

Forest Park has yet to drop a set this postseason going 5-0 while sweeping their way to District and Regional titles over Bessemer and Lake Linden.

The Trojans coach says she thinks this team is ready for the next step. "We have six starters returning from last year that played in the (2010) state quarterfinals match," said Kim Bjork. "So to them we have unfinished business. The experience (last year) definitely helps. Pellston's going to be there again and they have experience coming back; also we know what to expect. Pellston's always a great team, so we just got to go out and play our best and put what we have out on the floor."Forest Park takes on Pellston tomorrow night in Manistique at 7 p.m. eastern time.

Houghton will take on Charlevoix tomorrow in Class C.
