Wed, 15 Jan 2014 16:44:43 GMT — The state says applications for spring turkey hunting licenses are for sale now through Feb. 1. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says it's encouraging hunters to apply early. The application fee is $4, and applications and licenses are available from authorized license agents or online at www.michigan.gov/huntdrawings. The 2014 spring turkey season is April 21 through May 31, with the time period varying by location. The department says 114,140 licenses are available in the drawing for quota hunts, including 49,140 general licenses and 65,000 private-land licenses.
