      2,200 residents hit with power outages

      Residents ranging from South Marquette to Skandia Township experienced some power outages on Wednesday after a tree fell on a power line.

      According to the Marquette Board of Light and Power, about 2,200 people lost service at around 11:39 a.m. The BLP says that service was restored to 1,800 customers by around 1 p.m., and the remaining service was restored as of 1:20 p.m.
