The 35th annual Hiawatha Music Festival kicked off on Friday at Tourist Park in Marquette.
Eleven local, regional, and national performers will take the stage, spanning a range of musical talent. Friday night's main attraction is a dance party that gets underway at 8 p.m.
Organizers say this is a great event for the whole family.
"There is a lot for you to enjoy, not just the music, but there is a concession area if you want to hang out and have dinner with the family, and there is a wonderful artist section, but mostly it's a place where people have bonded and made traditions," said Hiawatha organizer, Bobby Glenn Brown.
Tickets for the Friday night's dance are $25, $5 for children. Tickets are $80 for the whole weekend.
