The Marquette Kiwanis Club is gearing up for their annual BBQ Chicken Dinner Sunday, June 8.
The money raised supports several community groups.
The Kiwanis Club has a goal of raising $15,000 from this year's dinner.
Preparing for the event is a big job, so volunteers from the organizations they support come to help with the dinner.
"It's our largest fundraiser of the year. We cook 3,000 halves of chicken and serve chicken dinners from 11:30 to 2. It's at Lakeview Arena. All the proceeds go back to different community groups and events" says past club president, Mike Morgan.
Tickets are $10 a person.
You can purchase tickets at the River Valley Bank on Third Street in Marquette, First National Trust Wealth and Management on Wright Street in Marquette or at the door.
