If you have a taste for intense drama theatre performances, you may want to head over to the Forest Roberts Black Box Theatre this weekend.
Senior Theatre major, York Griffith will direct his senior capstone, a remake of the play "A Kind of Alaska."
It's a drama about a woman named Deborah, who entered a coma at 16 and wakes up 29 years later, a middle-aged woman.
The play tells of Deborah's struggles to come to terms with her age and the coma.
"There's a level of stress there, definitely. It's kind of a quiet play, so it's one that is very intimate and intense," said Jesse Morrow, who plays Deborah.
The play will take place in the Black Box Theatre on NMU's campus on October 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5.00.
