The weather for Memorial Day is expected to be great, which may have many already starting their travel plans for the holiday weekend.
Whether you're driving with a family or flying to see others for the weekend, chances are you'll come across the typical holiday traffic. At the Ford Airport in Iron Mountain, the manager says improved routes have increased air traffic, and some travelers have come as far as West Virginia.
"I can't believe I'm on Iron Mountain ground," said out-of-state travelers Joann Brown and Amy Edwards. "This is amazing. We were like dragging in when we used to drive so far in the past, that to fly in is just amazing."
Law enforcement is also reminding people to obey traffic laws and to buckle up, especially with holiday traffic.
