      Artwork and animals

Artwork and animals are the new combination at Zero Degrees Art Gallery for the summer months!

Nearly 50 Upper Peninsula artists are devoting their masterpieces to the furry friends at the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter.

"Zero degrees gallery has a new commitment and a new promotion to the Upper Peninsula. And what we're doing is getting together with selected non-profits to give back to the community," said Chris Wetton, Artist and Zero Degrees Gallery Publicity Director.

Under their new charitable giving plan, the gallery has a wall with various designated art pieces available for purchase by the public. Once purchased, 50 percent of the sale will go to the artist, and 50 percent will go to UPAWS.

This fundraiser will last now through the end of August.

Zero Degrees is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
