A group of authors went to the Peter White Library Saturday for their 15th annual event U.P. Publishers and Authors Association Conference.
The conference covered topics like book and eBook distribution, book cover design, and the importance of editing.
"This is a very fun event because for us in the Upper Peninsula, it's difficult to get a group of writers and publishers together in one place. So to have around 40 to 50 people who are all interested in writing and publishing to congregate together for a whole day is a real treat," said Donna Winters, author.
The group started out as a networking opportunity and a support group for local authors and publishers, but over the years it has grown and eventually turned into a conference to help a wider audience.
