      Auto show postponed

The Copper Country Ford 27th annual Auto Show has been postponed this weekend due to inclement weather expected in the Keweenaw.

The auto show was regularly scheduled to take place this Friday through Sunday. The new dates for the show will be Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9.

The show typically has over 1,000 people filter through the weekend with over 200 new and used cars displayed. Copper Country Ford representatives say the weather forecast is sure to keep people away, and they deemed it best to reschedule.

"Our auto show is a really huge deal, and we're postponing it due to the very cold weather that we're supposed to be experiencing this weekend," said Jennifer Sleeman, sales representative. "It's hard to get people to come out when wind chills are negative 30 degrees and our employees have to be out in the cold too."

The Copper Country Ford Auto Show will be open at Copper Country Ford Friday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, March 9 from noon to 5 p.m.
