The Calumet City Police are investigating the death of a 21-month-old child.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the Calumet Police Department was dispatched on a report of a baby falling from a second story window on 6th Street in the Village of Calumet.
Upon arrival, the 21-month-old male was being treated by two volunteer firemen and an off duty Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The child was transported to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and later airlifted to Milwaukee Children's Hospital in Wisconsin.
On Friday, the Calumet Police were contacted by the Medical Examiner from the Milwaukee Children's Hospital who informed them that the child had passed away at approximately 3:30 p.m. that day.
No names are being released as the investigation continues.
