Thousands of bikers have made their way to Marquette for the annual Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic races this weekend.
The Shore Rock Race starts Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Lakeview Arena. Bike shops are staying busy with the influx of bikers in town. Many are beefing up their staff to make them more available for last minute bike repairs.
Downwind Sports will be supporting Ore to Shore bicyclists before the Hard Rock Race in downtown Negaunee.
"We even support the race by going to the start of the 48 mile and setting up a mobile repair station up there and we end up fixing a lot of bikes right before the race," said Downwind Sports owner Jeff Stasser.
This is the 13th year for the event and 2,400 bicyclists participated in last year's race.
