The Northern Lights Football League is attempting to do more than play and win games this year. The Arctic Blast team is working to score to help Habitat for Humanity. The team's season runs from May through August with players signing up voluntarily. This year the players plan to help Habitat for Humanity by donating fifty cents of every ticket sold at each of their home games.
"We all voted to support the Habitat for Humanity as a charity so each team, in its own way, is donating time and money to the Habitat for Humanity in any way that we can," said Arctic Blast Coach Tony Flaminio.
The team hopes they are able to help build projects throughout the summer with the funds raised. They invite the community to help them in their quest. At the end of the season, all funds will be donated to Habitat.
