Wednesday was Blue Cross Blue Shield Day at the U.P. State Fair in Escanaba.
Blue Cross Blue Shield was at the fair to promote healthy living. They had a tent where people could get their blood pressure taken, kids could do crafts, and they even had a healthy cooking demo.
"To promote and advocate healthy living and healthy lifestyles and to show people different ways they can do that," says Suzanne Allen of Blue Cross Blue Shield. "One of the things we're dedicated to at Blue Cross is healthy communities and healthy living."
The activities tent is located in the north end of the fairgrounds. Blue Cross Blue Shield will be set up in the Butler Building all week. This is the first time that they have sponsored a day at the fair.
