The boil advisory issued for customers in the East Kingsford Water district has been lifted.
According to Breitung Township officials, a water main break in the City of Kingsford and loss of water pressure prompted the boil advisory on Wednesday.
The Department of Public Works in Kingsford says that the advisory was a precautionary measure for residents in that eastern district. System pressure was restored, but officials asked that customers boil water for two minutes before using it for drinking or cooking.
Officials say that tests cleared the water for consumption on Thursday afternoon.
