The cold weather is back and will grace us with its presence into next week.
Much of the U.P. is covered by a Wind Chill Advisory until Sunday, but I would not be surprised if it is extended or becomes a Wind Chill Warning for Monday. Temperatures will struggle to reach above zero in many places on Monday, creating a very cold start to next week.
Letâ??s not forget about the blowing and drifting snow. In fact there are Lake Effect Snow Warnings for Alger, Luce, and Northern Schoolcraft counties until 1 a.m. Sunday morning. Expect to see about two to five inches of fresh snow further north, with amounts tapering off as you head south.
For the rest of the U.P., donâ??t expect temperatures to rise Saturday. Temperatures will fall below zero later in the day and will stay there until at leastSunday.
We have more snow on the way for Sunday as well. Lake effect will develop behind our next system, which means the snow will continue into Monday.
