A downtown Marquette establishment is still open after part of its exterior brick wall fell on Wednesday.
Repairs began Thursday morning at the Wild Rover on Washington Street in Marquette. The restaurant and bar's owner says the bricks were over 100 years old. After an inspection revealed that the damage didn't extend beyond the facade, the business took advantage of the situation.
"Kept the bar open, had a Harvey Wallbanger special going on, and Mike Waite played last night, but we are open today for business," said owner Linda Lassing.
The work was expected to be finished sometime on Thursday, so the area will be completely safe for Friday's Blueberry Festival.
