An Ishpeming business owner has been bound to circuit court
Forty-year-old Scott Martin is facing a felony charge for violation of the Charitable Solicitation Act.
According to the Marquette County Sheriff's Department, Martin, who owns Martin's Sports Apparel, made shirts honoring Christopher "Bubba" Croley who died when the car he was in was struck by a drunk driver.
According to police, he said $10 from each sale would go to the Croley family. However, authorities say the money from the t-shirts was never given to the family and it's alleged he mislead people about his efforts.
Martin is scheduled for arraignment in Marquette County Circuit Court on April 25. If convicted he could face up to five years in prison.
