L'Anse Area Schools are having a Buy a Brick fundraiser to support their community and school sports complex project.
For the past three years, L'Anse schools have been raising money to build a new outdoor sports arena. The bricks will go for $100 or more for smaller bricks, and $500 or more for larger bricks. They will be used to create a path from the school to the new football field.
School administrators say the sportsplex won't just be for the school to use, but for the entire community.
"It is a community facility," said LAS Superintendent, Carrie Meyer. "There are a lot of people in town that have put a lot of hard work into this project. They've put their time, efforts, donated supplies, and equipment. This facility is going to be able to be used by everybody."
