A pedestrian is hospitalized after being hit by a car early Friday morning in Houghton County.
The Michigan State Police Post in Calumet says this happened at 12:50 a.m. in Calumet Township, on M-26 near Henwood Road.
A 30 year-old Calumet man was walking on M-26 when he was struck by a car driven by a 21 year-old Lake Linden woman. The pedestrian was first taken to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital. He was then transferred to Marquette General Hospital. His current condition has not been released to the public.
Names of those involved has not been released as the investigation continues. Assisting at the scene were members of the Laurium Police Department, Calumet Police Department, Lake Linden Police Department, Bootjack First Responders and Mercy Ambulance.
