A Michigan State Police officer was injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred in Iron River on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old trooper's police vehicle was struck by a second vehicle, driven by a 68-year-old Caspian man. The crash occurred when the Caspian man attempted to turn off West Ice Lake Road and struck the police vehicle.

The trooper was transported to Northstar Health System. The Caspian man complained of minor injuries, but sought his own treatment.
