The Marquette Kennel Club's 39th Annual Dog Show is going on this weekend, and there are a couple of changes to the show this year.
In years past, the dog show was held at Lakeview Arena.
But this year, the Marquette County Fairgrounds will play host to the show.
Kennel Club officials say the new location provides more running and grooming space for the 380-plus dogs entered in the show.
Also new this year; There are four shows in one weekend.
Officials say the new venue and schedule are welcome changes.
"We have judges coming from all over the country, judges like you would see on dog shows on TV. These judges are renowned judges from all over, and they judge Westminister and New York and California. These are licensed American Kennel Club judges," said Mary Kirkum, Treasurer of the Marquette Kennel Club.
The shows start at 8a.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the fairgrounds.
Ticket prices are $4 a car load per day, or $10 for all three days.
