The Keweenaw ATV Club, along with the Portage Health Trauma Center and the Calumet Township Fire Department are holding a clinic Saturday on ATV safety.
The clinic will be held at the Calumet Colosseum and is open to the public and free to attend. Rescue officials will be going over the proper procedures people should take in the event of an accident.
There will also be professionals on hand to show the proper use of equipment. Portage Health officials say riding ATVs can be most enjoyable when the right precautionary measures are taken.
"As we see increased riders, we want to make sure that those riders are aware of some of the safety factors involved in ATV riding, and we also recognize that the Keweenaw ATV membership and its leadership have a strong commitment to safety," said Portage Health Foundation Executive Director Kevin Store.
The clinic will be on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until noon.
