Nothing says Christmas more than hot cocoa, carolers and Santa Claus. Community members of Gwinn gathered at Nordeen Park Saturday night to brave the cold as they welcomed the C hristmas season.
Carolers set the mood with a few classic Christmas songs. I nside the park building, kids were welcome to pick out a free pair of gloves or hats.
Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived to greet the children and get a list of gift wishes.
"The community got some hats and mittens for the kids and scarves, and there's different little presents and they get to speak to Santa," Katie Aho, a community member dressed as an elf, said.
The event wouldn't be complete without the official lighting of the community Christmas tree.
