The first Copper Country Festa Italiana was at Houghton County Arena in Hancock on Saturday.
The festival included food vendors, music, and even the Daughters of Italy.
There was a grape stomping competition, in addition to a pizza tossing competition and spaghetti eating contest for anyone interested.
The festival was organized so that people could celebrate their Italian heritage in Copper Country.
"The Italian immigrants had settled here over 150 years ago, and we want to keep that going so the youth dont forget." said musicians Jim and Terry Enrietti.
The event ran from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. The cost was $5 for the entire day.
