The Negaunee Senior Center was filled with people ready to dance on Sunday.
The center holds a themed dance every other month, and this time around, people wore cowboy hats, boots, and belt buckles for the country-western dance theme.
Melvin and Carrie Hoiem said they love to cut a rug and never pass up the chance to move across the dance floor. They have been married for 70 years, and on Sunday they decided to wear matching red and black outfits.
"We bought these when we were in California square dancing many many years ago, and this is our favorite spot here at the Negaunee Senior Citizen Center," said Carrie Hoiem.
When asked what's the secret to a long and healthy marriage, they said you have to keep dancing and have fun with each other.
All of the money from Sunday's dance goes to support the senior center and the services they provide, like lawn maintenance and snow removal.
