The Michigan State Police closed off US-2 east of Manistique due to a crash involving a semi and a van on Friday afternoon.
According to the MSP, the crash happened in front of the Schoolcraft County Airport when a van crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming semi. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.
The driver and passenger in the van were treated for minor injuries at the scene. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
The Michigan State Police say that driving too fast for conditions on slippery roads was the cause of the crash.
Police say that traffic lanes were closed, but have since returned to normal on US-2.
