      Crash sends three to hospital

      Michigan State Police in Calumet responded to a three-vehicle crash on US-41 and Boston Road Friday.

      The accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. Police said roads were snow covered and icy with white-out conditions at the time of the crash.

      A Dodge Neon, driven by a 19-year-old Hancock man, was traveling south on US-41 when he came up on a slow-moving Chevrolet SUV driven by a 55-year-old Hancock man also heading south.The 19-year-old rear-ended the SUV causing it to cross the center line and collide head-on with a 23-year-old Calumet woman heading north. All three drivers were transported to Portage Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.The 19 year old driving the Neon was cited for driving too fast.
