Daycare art show shows off creativity

Kids-R-Us Day Care center showed off its students' creative sides Thursday.

The youngsters have been working since September for the art show that took place at the Sawyer Air Heritage Museum. The children's work was displayed throughout the museum.

Inspiration for the artwork stems from children's books they've read throughout the year so far.

"Art is fundamental to their learning, so this is where they get to explore, be creative, and to create how they see things in the world," said Latonya Redfearn, owner of the center.

Friends and family of the students walked around and looked at the 19 different art booths. This is the second annual art show for the daycare.
