A summer daycare program in Munising fittingly called DayKamp is now operating out of what used to be Central Elementary School.
The program now has a new playspace that was completed back in May. Staff say the facility, and DayKamp keep kids entertained in a nurturing environment.
"It opens up horizons for creativity," says head counselor Jamie Johnson. "They can play, have fun, have a safe place to interact with each other."
DayKamp often gets the kids out to beaches and other places for a breath of fresh air when weather permits.
The program ends for the summer on August 15th.
