Delta County man accused of delivery of a controlled substance enters plea bargain

The 35-year-old Wells resident accused of five counts of delivery of a controlled substance entered a plea bargain today. Habitual offender Jeffrey Koos pled no contest to three of the five offenses.

What was his reasoning for no contest? He was under the influence of drugs at the time of the offences and does not have a clear remembrance of the events.

On multiple occasions, Koos sold both Ritalin and Suboxone strips to a confidential informant who was working with the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

Due to Koos?? foggy memory of the events, the UPSET agent??s report had to be used in court.

Koos is scheduled to be sentenced May 14 at 9:45 a.m. Dani Beauchamp, who was arrested with Koos back in January, will be in court April 16.
