Tom Sabor is still Delta County's Treasurer after he defeated Republican challenger Rich Michau by a vote of 11,195 to 6,076 in Tuesday's election.
Sabor has been the county treasurer since January of this year. He says he's very appreciative of the people in the county for giving him their vote of confidence.
Since he was elected, Sabor has been streamlining some operations and expanding the financial software that the county has for doing the banking.
Sabor spent Wednesday picking up signs around the county.
"But I'd also especially like to thank my committee members who helped me out tremendously," said Sabor. "It's been a long year. Without their support and help and guidance, I could not have gotten where I'm at. I'd like to say thank you to my wife, Nancy."
Sabor says he hopes he can live up to everyone's expectations, and he's looking forward into the future.
