The US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in Ishpeming is getting ready for a new season with dinner and a movie this Saturday.

The Hall of Fame will be showing the film, "Superheroes of Stoke," made by Matchstick Productions.

The film is a look back at 20 years of ski films and how they've changed over the years. Organizers say this is a great way to get ready for the coming ski season.

"The ski season usually kicks off with ski movies. It's kind of been our tradition for many years," said event coordinator Bob Hendrickson. "Ski Hall of Famers like Warren Miller and John Jay have kind of started that tradition way back in the 40s and 50s, and it's a way to get people fired up for the season and get that winter stoke going."

Advanced tickets are on sale, with $10 getting you dinner and movie. If you buy a ticket the day of the event, the price will be $12.50.

You can pick up the tickets at the Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame on U.S. 41 in Ishpeming, as well as Downwind Sports and Marquette Mountain. For more information on the event, check out the Hall of Fame's website.
