Do you know what you're going to be for Halloween? Are you looking for something scary or more whimsical? At the Halloween Super Store in Marquette, every aisle is set up in themes from the '70s, '80s, or some of the classics, like ghosts and zombies.
"Superheroes always go. There's always kids that want to be pirates, witches; we have themes throughout the whole store. So if you buy a costume, you can get an accessory to go with it," said Gail Lassard, Halloween Superstore owner.
This year they have a variety of new costumes, all from popular movies and TV shows. You can dress up like a minion from Despicable Me, a character from Monsters Inc. or your favorite character from Duck Dynasty. Popular with the girls, the Monster High series.
You don't have to spend a fortune to get something cool.
"Value costumes start at $9.99 for all different styles. Costume kits...if you just want to bunny ears and a bunny tail, they can start at $4.99 and go up," Lassard said.
They have a variety of masks, hats, and accessories if you want to piece something together. However, you can always make your own. At St. Vincent de Paul, they have a collection of donated costumes, or you can pick from a variety of different clothes to make it work.
"Come as a group and really help each other piece one together. That's half the fun of Halloween, instead of just going with what's in right now and make it fun," said Stephanie Bordeaux, St. Vincent de Paul.
They have a big stock on graduation gowns and wedding dresses, so you can go as a college graduate or bride.
Whether you chose something simple with accessories or a full out costume, store owners suggest getting to the stores early so you can get what you want.
