      Dozens enjoy classic country favorites

For 19 years, Agate Beach Park Jamboree has attracted dozens for a day outdoors enjoying good beats. Almost 50 musicians took the stage Saturday, including one who drove all the way from Texas.

"I took my bike and I'm here," said Dick Oswald. "I love it. Next year I'll probably come up again without the bike."

Even pets were apart of the festivities."We had a great time last year," said Char Tomasi, an Iron Mountain resident. "And the boys had a great time, so we decided to come up and enjoy it again."Organizers say that's what the event is all about: bringing back classic country."We get people to come here and enjoy the music, listen to it," said Rick Hayrynen, organizer of the event. "It's old type of country music and rock and roll."

Festivities continue again Sunday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
