The Marquette Golf Club announced Friday that a representative for Duke LifePoint has approached the club in regards to an interest in pursuing property interests.
According to the golf club, the Duke LifePoint is simply seeking permission to submit an interest in the Heritage property on the south side of Grove St. This would include holes 1, 9, 10, 13 through 18, the driving range, pro shop, cart barns, clubhouse and associated fringe property.
The Marquette Golf Club says this will not involve property north of Grove St. including holes 2 through 8, 11 and 12. This will also have no impact on the Greywalls property.
The club stressed that regardless of future negotiations; there will be no impact on the 2014 golf season.
