E arly retirement incentives continue to grow at Northern Michigan University.The NMU Board of Trustees has approved an additional $500,000 for the voluntary Faculty Early Retirement Incentive Program (ERIP).The program allows employees aged 62 and up, with at least 10 years of service at Northern, to retire early. So far, 36 have chosen to participate. That is more than the board expected to have sign on. The severance retirement date is June 1. However, some faculty will be staying on through the fall semester and June 2015.
