      Election day

      Tuesday is a primary election day in Michigan. This is to determine party candidates for the November election. This means no split votes.

      Also on the ballot is a statewide proposal about business taxes. Locally there are several county proposals along with school millages.

      Polls open at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday and close at 8:00 p.m. in local time zones.

      Upper Michigan's Source will have full coverage through the evening and Wednesday morning as results come in.
