Things may start to look brighter for the Braumart Theater in downtown Iron Mountain.
The organization, Friends of the Braumart, was started in 2008 with one goal in mind: to restore the theater.
Currently the organization is in the process of getting restoration prints drawn up to hopefully get their dream put into action. Board members say they will have the new layout prints finalized by June, and then the capital campaign and fundraising would begin.
"It's just so exciting to see something on paper," says Friends of the Braumart Board Member and Dickinson County Commissioner, Barb Kramer. "We've been dreaming about this for a long time, and all of a sudden, there it is on paper. What we've done then is taken the three different drawings and taken the best of the three and put them all together."
The evaluations will cost approximately $80,000.
