Hope At The Inn is a faith-based homeless shelter that rotates between seven churches. This was their first year and they want to celebrate their success this Thursday.
This winter they provided shelter to community members in need over 300 times.
The 30 to 40 volunteers needed each night would try to provide a home-like atmosphere to the guests, and one guest later returned as a volunteer.
Without the help of more than 400 volunteers the shelter would have not been possible. The upcoming party is meant to celebrate their hard work.
"Everybody in the community is invited to this celebration. We just want a chance to tell the community first of all thank you and also then to share with them the impact that Hope at the Inn have on Delta County." said Ralph Hansen of the Salvation Army.
The celebration takes place this Thursday night at Bay College.
