Saturday, dozens joined together to pay tribute to a fallen hero whose name will never be forgotten.
Sergeant First Class James D. Priestap was killed in Iraq in 2006 on Thanksgiving Day. Saturday morning, the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain honored him and his loved ones by renaming their circle drive after him.
"Life has been difficult," admits Connie Preistap-Murry, the fallen soldierâ??s wife. "But it's always nice to know that he's in heaven and that the whole community is so proud of him, loved him and still love him."
Many spoke on behalf of the fallen service hero including Republican 1st District Congressman Dan Benishek.
