Marquette's own holiday show returns to the stage.
Gale LaJoye is back with his world famous silent show Snowflake.
Snowflake is a one man comedic pantomime performance.
LaJoye silently tells the story of Snowflake a homeless man who everyone in the community knows.
"It's this character study of a man named Don Stenglein who we nicknamed here in Marquette Snowflake. He used to be the guy you would see at three o'clock in the morning coming into town. Don walking down the street,"said LaJoye.
The act shows you what life is like on the other side of fence, for people who don't have anything and are still happy.
Workers spent hours putting the set together. The whole performance transpires on the street.
Every piece of scenery in Gales show Snowflake he crafted including a Volkswagen Beetle which he cut in half to make the character's bed.
Even with seeing this character life on the streets, the show is filled with humor and large routines.
That's right LaJoye still includes several tricks in his show.
"You walk away kind of changed and different person than when you walked in. I think that's what theater is really about. You came in to experience something and that's what Snowflake does. It leaves you with something in your heart," LaJoye said.
You can see him live at the Kaufman Auditorium Friday at 7:30 and Saturday at 2 p.m. Click here for more information on the show.??
