The Winter Farmers and Artisans Market in Iron Mountain held their last market of the winter Saturday. The farmers market will take next month off and will return to their outside location at East Hughitt and Iron Mountain streets in June.
It is free to attend the market that will occur every Saturday beginning on June 14 through the summer. People can expect fresh and local produce, baked goods, jewelry, and other works of art.
"I think we're always going to capture those people that are looking for something different to get out and do whether they're from the area, surrounding area, or traveling through," said Rebecca Grider, Director of the Iron Mountain Main Street Downtown Development Authority.
Grider also mentioned that attendance at the market the past winter has been mixed, mainly due to the harsh weather. The market is expected to see traffic at the market increase once the summer months approach.
