Thu, 17 Jul 2014 12:12:56 GMT — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is offering online sales of the federal migratory bird hunting stamp, also known as the duck stamp. The sales begin Thursday at a cost of $17. The federal duck stamp is required annually for all migratory waterfowl hunters age 16 or older. It will be available for purchase first through E-license, the DNR's online system for selling hunting, fishing and ORV licenses and snowmobile permits. Sales at retail locations will begin in late August. The stamps raise funds to buy or lease wetland habitat for protection in the national wildlife refuge system. Sales have risen dramatically since eight states began online sales in 2007.
