The Maryhill Manor in Niagara held a special Flag Day ceremony where many World War II veterans were in attendance.
The ceremony included a patriotic flag raising outside the manor, a reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, and special guest speaker Staff Sergeant Pelech. Many at the ceremony were residents of the manor, some of whom were veterans.
One of the veterans helped to raise the flag for the event. Staff members say the ceremony is a special way they can honor our country and those who served, including some of their residents.
