Flood danger decreases, M-28 partially reopened

The Michigan Department of Transportation reopened a section of M-28 in Ontonagon County to passenger vehicle traffic on Wednesday afternoon.

MDOT says that passenger vehicles can once again use a stretch of road closed due to flood dangers. Truck traffic will still be detoured on US-45 and US-2 to avoid the area.

Officials say that the Ontonagon River levels are falling, reducing the risk of flooding.
