The International Food Fest at Lower Harbor Park in Marquette kicked off Thursday. Nearly a dozen food vendors have set up in the park and they're offering a taste of a variety of international cuisine including Oriental, Cajun, and Italian foods. Live music is also a part of the food fest. The Marquette City Band and the Flat Broke Blues Band will be performing Thursday, July 4. Festival goers say this is the place to be this weekend.
"It's beautiful out here--the sun's shining, good drinks, good food, awesome food actually, good prices," said Food Fest patron, Derek Dossetto. "Actually, I came down here for the music and this is my first time at food fest."
The food fest is put on by the Marquette County Exchange Club. Bounce houses and games for kids are also set up at the Lower Harbor Park. The International Food Fest runs from noon to 10:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
