Northern Michigan University has reported that former Athletic Director and NMU Sports Hall of Fame member Ken Godfrey passed away on Wednesday night.
Godfrey, 64, was battling cancer, but lost his struggle with the disease.
"It is never easy to say goodbye to a Northern Michigan University colleague," said NMU President David Haynes. "Through his three decades of service to the university, Ken Godfrey impacted the lives of many people, especially NMU student-athletes and coaches, and made a significant mark on NMU Athletics and Recreational Sports. He bled green and gold and was a great Wildcat. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ken's family at this time."
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Canale Tonella Funderal Home and can be found at their website.
