A former volunteer with Michigan Tech's football team who turned himself into the Houghton County Sheriffs Department is facing charges of possession of prescription drugs.
Chuck Klingbeil was arraigned Friday and is being charged with four counts of felony prescription drug possession.
The 47-year-old, previously employed by Michigan Tech athletics and has been a volunteer for the football team in recent years, is no longer volunteering with the team as of last week, as confirmed by the university.
Klingbeil is free on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond. He is due to appear in Houghton County court for his preliminary hearing on November 1.
