Fourth of July brings new and traditional events to Gladstone

Once again, Gladstone will be the main Fourth of July destination for many Delta County residents.

This two day celebration has many traditions and a few new events. The annual parade begins at 11 a.m. on Friday. It starts at 7th and Delta, turns down 13th and goes up lakeshore drive ending at the police post.

The afternoon will also have ultimate air dogs, inflatables, games and live music. New this year is the Red, White and Brew Beer and Wine Tasting event.

"Small hometowns seem to put on some fantastic events and I think that's what Gladstone does every year," says Gladstone City Manager Darla Falcon. "It's definitely a part of our community; people come back home for the Fourth of July."

The weekend's events all take place at Gladstone's Van Cleve Park.
